Spiderbrain 0.6.1 - Small improvements matter
Today we're rolling out Spiderbrain 0.6.1.
The best software isn't just measured by what it can do. It's measured by how consistently it behaves. Every interaction should feel predictable, every action should do exactly what you expect, and every release should make Spiderbrain a little more dependable than the last.
That's exactly what 0.6.1 is about.
While this release focuses on a handful of visible improvements, there's a much bigger story behind it: we've spent over 100 hours battle-testing Spiderbrain at enterprise scale, validating it across 270+ large-scale datasets, and strengthening the platform through dozens of reliability and usability improvements. Because the features you notice are only as good as the foundation they're built on.
Your installed app will offer the update automatically. There's nothing to download manually.

What's improved
Auto-sync is now truly per-project
Auto-sync now behaves exactly as the toggle suggests.
Previously, enabling auto-sync in one project could unintentionally affect others. Every project now remembers its own preference independently, giving you complete control over what syncs and what doesn't.
The same fix applies to the Publish card, dismissing it in one project no longer hides it everywhere else.

A simpler project setup
Creating a new project is now cleaner and more intuitive.
Simply choose to:
- Open an existing folder from your machine, or
- Connect a GitHub or GitLab repository.
Nothing important has moved, we've simply removed unnecessary complexity so you can get to work faster.

Better diagnostics behind the scenes
When something goes wrong (which we hope becomes increasingly rare), every crash report and diagnostic now includes the exact Spiderbrain build you're running.
It's a small improvement that helps us identify issues faster, reproduce them accurately, and ship fixes sooner.

Privacy by design
Trust is something we believe should be engineered, not promised.
By default:
- Your source code is parsed locally on your machine.
- Spiderbrain uploads only the source-free structural representation needed for reasoning, including dependency graphs, file relationships, metadata, and content hashes.
- Your source code never needs to leave your device for Spiderbrain to understand your project.
Your project remains yours.
